Thomas Berry writes:
Thomas Berry writes, “We must wonder about ourselves and what we are doing and what is happening to the larger destinies of Earth.”
We have been reflecting for a long time on our human/earth relationships and the need to care for Earth, our common home.
But what if, for a moment we wondered about ourselves?
Have we considered that what is most endangered at the present moment is ourselves? Have we lost respect for the irreplaceability of the human? Where is our deep devotion to the human project? Have we reflected on our evolutionary significance?
During our gatherings we will be drawing on reflections from, A Book of Hours: Thomas Berry by Kathleen Deignan.
Our contemplative process is designed to help us slow down, go within, and ponder deeply these pressing questions before us.
Through engagement in our collective field we can access the wisdom needed to offer guidance for our way forward.
